The Sandcastle holiday accommodation is perfect for couples and families wanting to get away from the crowds. We even welcome pets!

We offer six fully self-contained cottages, each with their own private deck, set in two hectares of tranquil gardens which look down to the sea, a mere five minutes walk away.

The Sandcastle's many extra features include our popular spa and sauna, a wood-fired pizza oven, a BBQ, and a hall where children can play table tennis or watch a movie on wet days. There is no extra charge for any of the above activities. We can deliver a delicious breakfast, mostly sourced from our organic gardens, direct to your cottage. We want your stay to be excellent value and unlimited WiFi is also free of charge.

There are also yoga classes in our hall twice a week and we have our own purpose-built massage room where various treatments are available from experienced therapists.

The Sandcastle is one of the closest holiday accommodation options to the beautiful, northern end of the Abel Tasman National Park. Golden Bay has many gorgeous beaches, walks and other attractions and we are happy to point you in the right direction to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

The cottage is actually really cute and got everything you need. You look out towards the garden. There is also a spa and sauna, but we didn't try as we only stay there for a night. It was actually pretty quite, we didn't hear our neighbor. Great for families. .

Le motel est joliment décoré dans le genre campagnard Notre chambre était grande et bien équipée, la literie est confortable et le propriétaire très agréable. Je recommanderais cependant ce motel plus pour l été afin de pouvoir profiter de toutes les commodités présentent autour

I had booked this accommodation 2 weeks prior as we are bringing our 15-year old dog with us and we needed a pet friendly accommodation for a two-night stay. We arrived at the sandcastle at 5 pm only to learn that our room have been given to another couple.:-( we decided to go to town and have dinner while steve sorted this issue out. I went back after two hours and finally had our room ready! it is now after 7. We were given a discount by his lovely wife for all the troubles we had (thank you) and she was very apologetic. Now i am ready to have a lie down after a long drive from hokitika. The cottage is of satisfactory quality and great for families. .

great cabins
these are great little rustic cabins looking on to a nice little garden. excellent facilities including a spa and sauna! nice and quiet location. When we were there, there was quite a few families, and it was a perfect location for families, so if your looking for a weekend away from the kiddies I probably wouldn't recommend it, but if your happy with the laughter of kids playing on the lawn, its a great spot to escape!
