Richmond is a peaceful base for the region's many attractions. From here you can discover wineries, beaches, art galleries, beautiful river valleys and horse treks. There are three national parks close at hand ? Nelson Lakes, Abel Tasman and Kahurangi. The nearby Richmond Ranges are a great place for hiking and mountain biking. In winter you can ski at Rainbow Valley. Richmond has a comprehensive shopping area and a good choice of eating places. Nelson has New Zealand's sunniest climate and is the geographical center of the country. It has a real laid back and new agey feel to it and this is borne out by the fact that there are more than 350 full-time artists and craftspeople active throughout the Nelson region. We never got the room we was sold so we didnt get the outside area which was partly why we chose the room and place. Room was good and friendly guy. Great to have a place that is clean and not shabby that takes pets. Thank you. Ideally situated, clean, comfortable and well priced. The daily muffins/cup cakes were a nice touch. Will stay again. Spacious and well equipped units with great beds. We felt welcome and genuinely cared for. Staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Would love to stay again. Had the best stay, room was comfortable, beds awesome. Plenty of space. But best of all the management/owners were fantastic from making sure we had all we needed to giving advice on places to eat out. Rob roy was the best place to eat... Thank you. We would so definitely stay here again. |
